Monitoring for Real-World Translation

A great mix needs to translate well across all listening environments. That’s why we trust the Dynaudio BM6A as our primary nearfield monitors. Known for their clarity, honest frequency response, and detailed low end, the BM6As allow us to make confident mixing decisions that hold up in the real world—whether it’s a car stereo, headphones, or a venue PA system.

For secondary referencing, we also use iLoud Micro Monitors. These compact but powerful speakers provide an accurate representation of how a mix will sound on consumer-level systems, helping us ensure consistency across platforms.

Analog Warmth & Precision

We incorporate select analog gear where it enhances the mix, adding warmth, character, and a sense of space. Our analog signal chain includes:

  • Neve 1073 DPX – A dual-channel, Class A preamp and EQ, ideal for adding harmonic richness and vintage tone

  • Neve 511 and Neve 2264ALB – For precision EQ and punchy analog dynamics

  • Rupert Neve 5059 Satellite – A summing mixer that brings out dimension, depth, and cohesion across the mix

  • Empirical Labs De-Esser – A trusted unit for taming harsh sibilance with a natural, transparent touch
