What services do you offer?
Full-service music production, vocal and instrument recording, mixing, mastering, session musicians, demo production, audio editing, and remote production. You can book the whole process from first idea to finished master, or just the part you need.
How much does it cost to record a song?
Every project is different, so pricing is quoted per project rather than from a rate card. A stripped-back demo, a single, and a fully produced album all need different amounts of time and players. Tell us about your song through the project form and Jonny will come back with a plan and a quote built around what you actually need.
Can I work with you if I don’t live in Nashville?
Yes. Round Corner works with artists all over the world through remote production. Send your voice memos, demos or stems, and we build the track, record session players, mix and master, and send finished files back. Artists who want to come to Nashville can record in person.
What genres do you work in?
Round Corner specializes in alternative, grunge and post-grunge, emo and pop-punk, indie, rock, British rock and Britpop, pop and Americana. Jonny also produces hip-hop, R&B, worship, singer-songwriter, folk and plenty in between, and most records blend a few of these. Gear and approach are chosen per artist, from huge, gritty rock guitars and polished pop vocals to raw, intimate acoustic takes.
I only have a voice memo. Is that enough?
Yes. Demos, iPhone recordings, GarageBand sketches, rough mixes or just an idea are all good starting points. Jonny is a multi-instrumentalist and can play every instrument on a track, so you don’t need a band.
Can you mix or master a song I recorded somewhere else?
Yes. Mixing, mastering and editing are all available on their own for songs tracked at other studios or at home.
Who is Jonny Lucas?
Jonny Lucas is the founder and lead producer at Round Corner Studios: a UK-born producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years in the industry. His work includes projects for Sony PlayStation, Warner Music Group, National Geographic and Spotify New Music Friday, and he has written with Desmond Child and Roger Cook.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope. A mix or master moves much faster than a fully produced record. We map out a realistic timeline on the first call so you know what to expect before anything starts.
